@AlexanderBratli@Rico34031823 Liverpool have one player who would get in the England team (TAA) and one player who will be in the WC for leadership not football (Hendo). Gomez hasn't played enough to justify being in the squad. Any others that I'm missing?
@gb1892 Lost? 😂 What made you come to that? Only good chances come down Italy's left side. Positionally been solid. Passing been solid, and made 2 or 3 good interceptions/clearances.
@tombennett71 If you looked at the other two giants of public spending; law & order and healthcare, this just wouldn't happen. Fail to see how/why education is so distinct that expert-only decisions can't be taken.
@Miss_Snuffy Time for the BBC to show Griff Rhys Jones' 2013 programme about Ghanaian soldiers sent to fight in India and Burma: https://t.co/ZLcE8s1Uw0
It was a wonderful, humbling programme.
3 books that all teachers and school leaders need to read: ‘The Learning Rainforest’ by @teacherhead; ‘What Does This Look Like In The Classroom?’ by @C_Hendrick and @robin_macp; ‘The Curriculum’ by @MaryMyatt. They’re all @JohnCattEd publications and they’re all mind-expanding.
@tombennett71@rpondiscio Yet again an argument which is, for some reason, applied to teaching but would be ridiculed were you to apply it to *any* other profession/vocation. Why do these arguments seem to proliferate in education but not in other areas?
As you can see Mr Withers has been working hard all week! I think the rest of us (including Mr Barker 😂😂) need a bit more coaching! Please create your own video and we shall add you in. #JOINTHECHAIN. Enjoy!!
Want to hear a funny story about something that happened to me this weekend? It concerns the internet, elephants, and the absurdity of online nostalgia.
Official announcement: I would like to apologise for launching a series of low-cost education conferences around the world that no one has to go to. Misguidedly I thought this would be a good thing, but I now understand that this was, somehow, an act of oppression.
When I was like 14, me and a few mates would “wag” French class and hide out in the soundproof drum room until lunch time. This went on for a few weeks when one day we discovered a “trap door” beneath the carpet tiled floor under the drum kit. We of course opened the trap door..
Dumbfounded when I hear "every child learns differently."
1) They literally don't. Scientists can make generalizations about the mechanism across people.
2) If every child *did* learn differently, experience would be meaningless. A teacher would be a novice with each new child.
