Ok so the PvE mode is being conflated as easier, so let’s operate off of that opinion being true:
- if so, it’s by design to draw in players that found marathon too hard: mission accomplished
- since it’s easy and hardcore players don’t want easier/PvE in the game, simply don’t play it: problem solved
- hardcore players grinding the ‘easier’ mode and then complaining about loot pool etc are actually creating the issue they’re getting mad about. Obviously I understand people are going to optimize, sure fine. But if the PvE mode is ‘easy and boring’ then play the game the ‘hard’ way and grind in ‘hard’ mode. Those ‘less skilled’ players will meander into other modes because you can’t get all contracts done on said map and there’s your loot without you having to play the ‘easier’ mode as spoiler - it’s not easier for everyone, you just happen to be good at the game
My two cents I’m sure that will have totally normal comments when I wake up.
The way I see it is even if it’s giving “too good of loot”, people aren’t getting better at PvP because there is none. So the instant they cross into a ‘normal’ server the chances of their loot being donated is massive.
It also doesn’t help that much as the mode is free kit so assuming you only ever play the ‘easier’ mode you can’t build a loadout. You’re limited by what you can use so you’re either stockpiling for a rainy day or getting slaughtered in PvP lobbies.
Now you could say that more PvE minded players float to this mode and thus will unwillingly donate said loot to better skilled PvP players therefore that loot would then dilute the pool but I’ve already heard complaints of loot being too plentiful in regular Night Marsh as well so maybe balancing is off across the game?
@Hollowtide We wanted new players to feel rewarded and the early game not feel too grindy. I’m sure the dev team will adjust next season but it’s a start
