Darius Acuff Jr. has officially arrived in Sacramento!
The Kings' No. 7 overall pick was greeted by fans at the airport and made sure to stop and shake hands with everyone waiting to welcome him. A classy first impression. (@Dariusacuff5@FOX40)
RIP Kenny. Such a special guy. There wasn’t a Pitino bride who wasn’t dipped and spun on the dance floor at their wedding. He brought calm and grace in such a volatile profession. Rarely do you meet someone that was friends with everyone and had no enemies. He will be missed.

Pitt SF Jonathan Powell is today’s player evaluation. He’s listed at 6’6 190lbs.
What he brings offensively
• A dangerous 3 pt threat. Leave him on the wing and in the corner.
• A good floor spacer that you don’t have to run plays for, for him to score.
• Has a decent mid range game. Utilizes a nice pull up jumper.
• Is a good athlete. Can get to the hoop and finish.
• Is a career 35% shooter from 3. I think he’ll improve on that this year.
• Not a good FT shooter. 48% for his career.
Defensively/Rebounder
• I think he’s going to guard the other team’s best wing most of the time.
• Is a 3 and D type of player.
• He will help out on the glass. Averaged over 3 per game as a freshman.
• Uses his length and athleticism to bother his opponents.
Overall Expectation
I love Powell’s fit on the Panthers. I think he’ll be the starting SF and will be a 3 pt specialist. He can score other ways as well as he showed at WVU. Last year I felt like UNC’s system wasn’t the best for his skill set. He should have more freedom as a scorer for Pitt than he did last year. I’m expecting a bounce back year with numbers similar, if not better than his freshman year at WVU.
