Maybe I dreamt this but have I read somewhere that @AQAMaths GCSE Foundation won’t have any multiple choice questions this year??
This could easily be a fabrication of my imagination but I’m convinced I’ve read this, yet Google is no help!
@MrMetacognition Having a similar problem. Sounds like the thermostatic cartridge needs replacing, but actually replacing the t bar is easier, similar cost and potentially DIYable. Attempting Saturday!
@dhlexpressuk my parcel has been out for delivery both yesterday and today, yet has been returned to the depot on both days, despite me waiting home for these deliveries.
Very frustrating. Can you help?
@MrChapmanMaths Had a student join this week so still getting to grips with things, but PowerPoint translate and PowerPoint subtitles/captions have been helpful so far!
@WhiteRoseMaths have a new student from Ukraine in one of my classes and want to support them as best as possible. I don’t suppose you have translated worksheets do you?
Year 10 ratio topic.
@tm_maths@perryclaire Certainly think there’s a need for both. Students (and myself as teacher) are likely to get bored of the same format, those latter questions you suggest can provide some really interesting discussions and strengthen conceptual understanding and support AO2/AO3.
@MissHKMaths Pretty comprehensive list below.
Authors I can recommend: Marcus De Sautoy, Rob Eastaway, Alex Bellos.
You might find Guided Reading useful, @whisto_maths shared some and there’s some other stuff floating about if you google it.
@MissWhiteMaths @danicquinn@Miss_L_Jacobs@adamboxer1 I don’t always say what the correct answer was straight away, else those that got it right switch off. I choose 3 answers (grab boards or write on the big board) and the class convince me why each answer is correct/incorrect
Thought recapping factors and multiples with year 9 would have been dull. Really enjoyed this, some lovely discussion!
