Many people think Nigerian Army pay is “small” - but base salary is only half the story.

A Recruit now earns around ₦70k-₦86k, but that’s before allowances. By the time you add hazard, housing, operations, and service allowances, real monthly pay can jump 40–60% higher.

Here’s what most people don’t know:
- A Captain in an operational area can earn ₦500k+ monthly
- Senior NCOs sometimes earn close to junior officers
- Allowances depend heavily on posting, not just rank
- Two soldiers of the same rank can earn very different amounts
