Your coach’s job is to coach you. That means praise when you’re doing it right; correction when you’re not. Don’t get hostile or defensive, shut down or talk back. Listen to learn. Listen to understand. It’s how you get better. Accountability will help you in the game & in life!
Lessons I’ve learned from my players this semester that are helping me become a better coach…
#1 - NEVER compromise who I am
#2 - Believe in the strengths of EVERY player
#3 - Strength in numbers
#4 - If you have dawgs - unleash em
#5 - Empty the tank, daily
Thankful 🙏🏽

Student-athletes: In the future there won’t be anymore team meals. There won’t be anymore practices or anymore games. There won’t be anymore team road trips. Being an athlete only lasts a short time. Work hard every day, soak it all in, and appreciate the amazing experience.
You say you want to be a great shooter, but do you shoot extra game shots before school/after school? No? Do you shoot extra game shots before practice/after practice? How about evenings/weekends? No? But you want to be great? How? Greatness only happens with deliberate action!
