“We have shown kids who continue playing sports through their childhood and into adolescence perform better academically”
“Team sports foster more social connections, and we saw those children were less likely to be absent from school”

@danbardell I would guess youth football isn’t played in the summer to prevent matches being played on concrete pitches and allows kids to get involved in summer sports.
@dizzy259 @abcsport Absolutely agree the game has to have meaning. Tricky balance to get a proper cricket contest at the stadium/ on TV screens and radio airwaves for all to enjoy. Fair play to Australia for organising fan day today at MCG.
@ChilmaidStuart Had to leave at half way; I’m on BBQ duty this eve! Tonbridge got 290 odd, aided by a lad who smashed 60 from not many balls at the end. Good crowd in. Hope all well your end, Stuart. 👍🏼
@NewboldRj@PearsonEdexcel Even as a free resource (or it was free when I last delivered an Edexcel spec) it’s not fit for purpose. Agreed.. Exampro for AQA courses is worth its weight in rhodium.
It’s an absolute pleasure to be able to spend a number of days at Sportpro Lodge in Randburg. The sporting facilities, hospitality, and scenery were brilliant. Looking forward to coming back in the future. @SkinnersSport
A few pictures from our annual fixture against The MCC, part of last week’s Senior Cricket Festival. It’s always a pleasure to play The MCC, made all the more special by hosting them at Southfields.
Congratulations to Zac W for winning the MCC Spirit of Cricket award. 🔴⚫️
Congratulations to our Y12 students who have graduated the Sports Leadership Programme, acting as fantastic ambassadors for the school throughout the year. They finished the programme marshalling a Colour Dash event in the fabulous surroundings of Dunorlan Park. 🔴⚫️
