Sony faces a proposed class-action lawsuit over how digital purchases are presented on the PlayStation Store.
Plaintiffs argue that buttons like “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” give customers the impression they are purchasing and owning a game, when they are actually receiving a license to use it.

The case is based on a California law that took effect in 2025, requiring companies to clearly inform customers when they are buying a license instead of owning a digital product.
Sony’s checkout page includes a notice stating that purchases are licensed under its Software Product License Agreement, but the lawsuit claims the disclosure is too easy to overlook.

The complaint argues that labels such as “Buy Now” and “Confirm Purchase” can lead consumers to believe they are obtaining permanent ownership.

So many people are probably wondering: what is the difference between freezing rain and sleet? I mean, they can’t be that different, right?

Well, we picked something completely at random—and in no way related to police work—to showcase the difference between the two.

Freezing rain is liquid rain that freezes on contact and takes the shape of whatever it lands on, creating a smooth glaze on surfaces.

Sleet is rain that has already frozen and then sprinkles onto roads, sidewalks, and other surfaces.

Both make driving dangerous. So whether we get a smooth glaze of ice or a sprinkle on the roads this weekend, please stay home if you can. If you must drive, please do so carefully.

For those who have been taken advantage of or dislike the BS going on here with GenAI and sexual assault, I want to bring your attention to the Take it Down Act that was written into law earlier this year.

This act protects people from GenAI produced imagery and video if and when it is posted online without consent of the identifiable individual.
Punishment includes prison time and this act should be a powerful tool for those taking action against these abusers.
