I’m publicly documenting my journey to profitability after 6 years of continuous failure. Not a single payout to my name, thousands of hours backtested on hundreds of strategies and still nothing to show for it. But F it I’m too far deep to quit now.
@AndrewTradesNQ 100% agreed, also narrowing your focus to one asset class and one time window is absolutely crucial to build that market experience and discretion. Overtime you develop a relationship with the asset and understand it's behaviour like the back of your hand.
@XXIbitcoin@bepotrades 5 min timeframe is always best for nq during the open, you mark out any significant structure point that gets swept and it’s valid as long as it’s inline with your bias

The best way to trade would be to trade a strategy that isn’t so rigid. It can’t be 100% mechanical otherwise it’ll eventually fail. You NEED an element of discretion
My whole plan this entire time was to be able to gather data on a strategy and see years of consistent profitability that would give me the confidence and certainty needed to trade prop firms - knowing I’d be constantly profitable
The truth they don’t tell you is when you trade a mechanical strategy your edge is victim to the markets evolving. Meaning the “pattern” you’re seeing working now doesn’t work in other market conditions. And the markets are always changing, so u need an edge that isn’t so rigid
