Melton Town not only lost a supporter recently, but, in Brian Linnett of My Guy, Melton Mowbray lost a beloved shop owner. Read our tribute here...

We will be celebrating Brian's life with a minutes applause before KO on Saturday.

@nowthemrscarter@aliciakearns@MeltonBC@aliciakearns You’ve a lot happening at the moment what with a different PM most weeks and the devastating war in Ukraine but when will you start addressing the major issues happening right on your doorstep in Melton Mowbray? It’s hardly worth going in the Town nowadays.
@aliciakearns this is such sad news. Melton is fast becoming a ghost town. Limited public transport, no uber licence and taxis are as rare as 🦄💩.
Surely you have the power to do something or are we to become the town of empty shops and a lacklustre market? @MeltonBC@MrCarts73
@aliciakearns are you able to do something about our transport links in Melton Mowbray. Our single bus route to ab Kettleby, nether broughton & Nottingham was cancelled and not replaced and uber still don't have a licence in melton.

The Prime Minister's judgement continues to fail to meet the standards that I and residents of Rutland & Melton, expect
It remains the case that he does not hold my confidence & I have been disgusted by the failure to act in the interests of my colleagues, my party & the country
