That’s the big issue with these claims. Guilty until proven innocent. I think If you go and post to the public your opinion, on a news station that should be unbiased, it will effect public opinion. This goes for right and left.
Public opinion should not come before truth because then you will always have people who have decided before facts are presented and no amount of facts will persuade them otherwise.
This is something we are all likely guilty of and that’s a result of decades of unbiased news.
@InTheMoneyAdam I feel like these are lessons people need to learn. If it was always going to be green then first everyone would be in it and everything looks better when you add time to it. Look at the month or the 3 month or further back and see you are better now than before.
@HollandJeffreyR I love this so much. I feel the Lord has given an added portion of the spirit to you and added strength to your whole being! You have been endowed with power from the Lord and it comes across in the words you share?
Thank you!
My first sight-giving, life-giving encounter with real evidence of truth did not come with anointing clay or the Pool of Siloam. No, the instrument of truth that brought my healing from the Lord came as pages in a book—yes, the Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ!
The claims of this book have been attacked and dismissed by some unbelievers, their anger often matching the vitriol of those who told the healed man he could not possibly have experienced what he knew he had experienced.
The impact in my life of the Book of Mormon is no less miraculous than was the application of spit and dirt on the blind man’s eyes.
I came to my whole-souled conviction that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is a true restoration of the New Testament church and more because I cannot deny the evidence of that restoration. Since those first experiences, I suppose I have had a thousand—ten thousand?—other evidences that what I have spoken of today is true. #GeneralConference #HearHim
I feel like he is just warming up. He has a really powerful message and is not ashamed to declare himself a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
I think we are going to see a lot of neat things in coming days and I’m so grateful for men like this to inspire and uplift in a world full of hate and division.
@hankrsmith Amen! Saw it Saturday morning and then saw traces of Nelson before Saturday evening session started. It just feels so right and I’m so excited.
That’s all I want in my feed! So much positivity.
As I was taking notes I’d get notifications and it was random posts from X. They were angry, or hateful, or divisive. The opposite of General conference.
Just people out there screaming hate into the ether and I’m tired of seeing it. Don’t want it on my phone, and visible in my home.
Let’s share positivity.
@jonathanaplumb I’m sorry to hear this. It hurts my heart when I see people in the congregation sitting alone. It doesn’t happen too often but it still does.
I’m naturally an introvert so it takes a bit to go up and visit with people in my calling.
@Making_of_a_Mom I just baptized my daughter yesterday. It was put off due to conferences, but how special for her to be welcomed as a brand new member of the church this Sunday! Congratulations to you!
@ProdigalSonMatt Thank you for sharing. This is wonderful. What a blessed and happy day to know of the divinity of the Son of God and that God and His Son have not forgotten us in a time where we need them more than ever.
@OaksDallinH I love that! Having lost many people I love, the knowledge that death is not the conclusion but part of the transition to the glorified bodies that we can possess is wonderful news!
I can see them again and know that life has more purpose than to live then die.
As a newly called Apostle, I felt the importance of sharing my witness of Jesus Christ’s literal Resurrection. Now, 41 years later, the urgency I feel is even greater.
On this Easter Sunday, I express my gratitude, reverence, and awe for the Savior’s Resurrection. This was the crowning culmination of His Atonement and the source of the greatest joy any of us will ever know.
It is my prayer that today, we can all feel the greater love that comes from knowing that Jesus Christ lives and has made eternal life possible for all who will follow Him. #GreaterLove
@NelsonRussellM Thank you for sharing this. This has been your testimony my whole life and is my testimony. That Jesus Christ lives now! His resurrection is as important today as it was in the beginning. Let’s celebrate Easter Sunday with the greatest news to ever be known.
It really is something worth considering. How often can we find ourselves saying something that may seem harmless until we think “would that be something the Savior would ever say?”
I am a fairly kind person, but when I’m tired or stressed or a mixture of those, sometimes my thoughts can be a little harsh. I have to catch myself and just say a quick prayer and apologize and ask for help to be more positive. I’ve seen miracles doing this in simple ways but miracles all the same.
I think one way to think of it is the Bible is the word of God. But it’s not that God dictated it word for word. It was written by a series of individuals who wrote what they remembered but wrote it as fallible humans. The Bible had many great truths in it. But it is not infallible.
It is a man-made record of God’s dealings with the people of Adam through primarily one small group of God’s children. To believe that God completely ignored all other groups of people is incorrect. We cannot expect that God had to tell of all “His ways.”
The Book of Mormon even stated if there are errors, they are of men. The doctrines are clear but mistakes happen.
Too often people throw out the baby with the bath water.
