NEW: A new bill from @RepKenBuck and @RepJoeNeguse would designate Amache, in southeast Colorado, a National Historical site.
Amache was one of 10 internment camps for ethnic Japanese during the war.
@Owen_Webb Curious how many students would feel the exact opposite and how to balance the two? Seating plans to start the year then pull back to freedom?
One more thing: GA’s minimum boxes per county is 1. Above that it’s optional and there’s a strict max.
Colorado’s min boxes for big counties is 1 *per 12,500 active voters.*
That means Denver has a min of 35 boxes; ATL’s Fulton County, with 250K more people, has a max of 8.
Ok. Let’s make a deal. If Georgia’s legislative branch enacts Colorado’s voting laws, word for word, the state of Georgia can have its All-Star game back.
Cool?
Cool.
Absurd comparison. 1) Georgia's ID requirements are much stricter. 2) *Colorado mails every active registered voter a ballot.* 90-plus percent voted by mail even in pre-pandemic elections. 3) Colorado allows people to register on Election Day.
