Open letter to RURA
Dear @RURA_RWANDA,
As citizens faithfully paying for internet and occasionally receiving it like a rare seasonal gift, we seek guidance. Considering that the costs of everything has gone up and we have to do a lot of virtual work.
it is sad to mention that @CanalboxR appears to specialize in very unique innovation especially the invention of “buffering as a lifestyle.”
Pages load when @CanalboxR feel inspired, meetings freeze for emotional reflection because @CanalboxR isnt happy that the meeting is result oriented, and videos enjoy long think breaks before playing.
Should we remain loyal to this “patience-building program, by the mighty @CanalboxR" or is there a recommended exit route to actual internet?
We shall not move away from @CanalboxR despite the brutal abuse (which @RURA_RWANDA should not accept) until @RURA_RWANDA decides to save us.
RURA save us from the brutal abuse of CanalBox
Touchdown, one final time.
This week, Captain Gabou made his last landing at Kigali International Airport, closing an exceptional 46‑year aviation journey. With over 20,000 hours in the skies and 14 years with RwandAir, he carried thousands safely and inspired many along the way.
Thank you, Captain. Wishing you a well‑deserved retirement, your wings may now rest.

Greetings @RSSB_Rwanda,
Hear me out:
You’ve worked for 10 years, consistently contributing to RSSB. Then you get 3 options:
✅ Use part of your pension savings to buy an apartment in an RSSB-built estate,
or
✅ Keep it growing for your retirement.
or
✅ Or hybrid: continue saving while allocating a portion toward a long-term housing loan (RSSB becomes both insurer and developer)
That single policy shift could redefine housing in Rwanda.
If RSSB invested in affordable estates not just Vision City-level, but for everyday contributors, it could solve three major issues at once:
1.Affordable housing: Give middle-income earners a dignified path to ownership.
2.Urban planning: Move citizens from amanegeka to safe, planned communities.
https://t.co/PsDyQEgGxl protection: Turn long-term saving into a visible, life-changing benefit.
After 5 years of consistent contributions, workers could qualify to buy or co-finance a home, part of their pension goes to housing, the rest continues to grow.
This is how we can bridge the gap between today’s hustle and tomorrow’s security.
Housing shouldn’t just be a dream, it should be part of your social protection.
After all, shelter is a basic need.
From a concerned citizen!

Rwanda is proud to have hosted this historic UCI Road World Championships. I congratulate all the riders who competed across our capital city for their remarkable achievements and resilience. My sincere appreciation to my friend, David Lappartient @DLappartient, the UCI team, our partners, the security organs who kept the race route secure and the people of Rwanda whose energy and support made #Kigali2025 truly unforgettable.
Highly-rated Rwandan-American basketball sensation Nate Ament is set to visit #Rwanda from Aug 9-13. The 18-year-old forward, currently playing for the University of Tennessee, is ranked among ESPN’s top four prospects for the 2026 NBA Draft.
Born in Rumbek, South Sudan 🇸🇸. Raised in Uganda 🇺🇬 since he was 2. Picked up interest in playing basketball after a boda boda man told him he was too tall for his age. Started playing at 14 & 4 years later, he is a top 10 NBA Draft 2025 pick.
