@Pearson_UK I see that you've dropped the price per item again but increased contract items. You're a disgrace, these kids deserve better than what you attract with these contracts. Looks like unqualified students and non specialists will be marking again this year. #edutwitter
@NEUnion please stop the lies about the funding of the rise. It is not fully funded. Only half is covered be me money. The rest of from existing budgets. You know this, I switched unions because I believed you would genuinely strive for the improvements desperately needed.
@HelenSalmon2@RogersHistory Because we care about our pupils. Despite everything the government, exam boards and ofsted do to try and ruin their education. There are so many of us battling through the bullshit just for them. If all those teachers left the system would collapse. What then for the kids?
@Robin_Neu2@NEUnion @MaryBoustedNEU @cyclingkev@NEUSouthWest Not fully funded. Not dealing with issues of parity. Not dealing with retention. Lip service paid to workload. So we've achieved very little
@TidmarshPete@NEUnion@cyclingkev @MaryBoustedNEU If you think telling schools to reduce a few hours will make a difference then you have more faith than most. There's fundamental issues ignored
@TidmarshPete@NEUnion@cyclingkev @MaryBoustedNEU And what about retention? Workload? Parity with Scotland? All of those were mentioned in the meeting when we were told to reject and have been conveniently ignored this time round
@NEUnion No parity with Scotland. Only half funded. Why should we accept again? Seems like you have lost the will to fight but many members are not happy with the lack of fully funded offer. Please also explain why I'm worth less than a teacher in Scotland?
@educationgovuk and @Ofstednews have not listened. Have not learnt anything and will continue to trample all over the profession and all over our pupils. It's getting harder and harder every year to keep going.
@NEUnion I switched unions because I thought you believed in what you said. The offer is partially funded. It does not address the issues we've raised about the wider crisis of education. Your tone and literature is misleading. Who do we trust to fight for our pupils now?
A special moment yesterday for Elsie who found two relatives at Tiepval, the memorial to the missing in France. Amazingly, their names are in opposite tiles facing each other. @HaslingdenHigh#WeWillRememberThem#AdaptableTravel
