I think a place for improvement with grades, is that regardless of their use: as data, communication, evaluation…they are always talking about the past. When a student sees a grade don’t we want them to think about the future? About their next step? Can grades set a goal?

@MEdandbeyond @RickJetter It can be part of a bigger narrative for families. Their actions end up with them in court or paying fines. It happens enough what else can we expect? Hard to see all parts; it’s even harder to advocate. To them we’re other. When educators are same system as those courts to them.
