🇮🇪 Last night the people of Finglas came together to demonstrate their anger of them being left languishing on housing waiting lists, outbid by non EU nationals when trying to buy their first home.

This protest was spurred on by the known fact that Somalians, Nigerians, Pakistani and all other people from outside of Ireland are skipping housing queues and are fast tracked into housing.

In 17 days, Cody Harper will stand before a judge, and his life could change forever.

I believe this case is incredibly unfair. If he is sent to prison, the entire justice system will come under public scrutiny like never before.

He was attacked by three men. In my view, while clearly disorientated, he struck out at a police officer.

The police then asked the public not to share these videos. But Cody's story need to be told.

To me, Cody Harper was the victim, not the criminal.

Yesterday I discharged myself from hospital because Pakistanis were sitting on the floor eating food in A&E with their whole family, feet out. Today I’ve come back and it’s the same again—feet up, toes out, laying about the gaff. I’m sick to death of the state of the NHS & the people abusing the system.

The further footage only makes this look worse.

It shows the victim of the attack who had already been arrested being escorted to the police car, with a female officer calling him a “dick”, before he's put into the police vehicle the wrong way.

From start to finish, the whole incident appears to have been handled poorly.

In my view, the police should stop doubling down, acknowledge that serious questions have been raised, apologise if mistakes were made, and carry out a full, transparent investigation into what went wrong.

Public confidence isn't restored by telling people not to share the footage. It's restored by showing accountability when policing appears to fall below the standard the public expects.

A gang of African migrants targets two young native girls on Clydeside.

Two police riot vans roll right past, get flagged down… and keep driving. Zero help.
