All games of that era were pixel art. Because they were low resolution. It wasn't a style choice, it was the only choice. Creators would have loved to have their games look like this back in the 16bit era.

2 things @Kotaku & @LukePlunkett got wrong in the article. The original EWJ games were all hand drawn animation (like we did w/Aladdin). Also, said that EWJ 4 was supposed to come out this Oct. Incorrect. It was always slated for Winter 2021. Wondering if you'll fix the mistakes?
