Kailynn wasn’t sure whether I’d live during her freshman WOW Day, and & was in the hospital her sophomore year. She was a junior our 1st together.

We’re having what I hope will be the 1st of 10 (or so) more together. Even better, Karlee G got in on the fun on her first WOW Day

Are they the exception rather than the rule? No doubt. But guess what…it would be the exception for someone of my generation to do it, too.

The difference? The parents, grandparents, churches, and teachers who have invested in them. Invest. It’s worth it. They’re worth it!

Kids these days…

Got a call from a widow in our church to tell me that a high school couple who’d attended MBC this morning saw her at Cracker Barrel after church. Seeing that she was alone, they invited her to eat with them and bought her lunch. She had a great time.

During AT Tuesday, we asked students write thank you notes to adults in the building. Mine wrote to teachers, principals, & cafeteria workers.

Just ran to school for just a minute & found this in my mailbox. I can’t tell you who wrote it, but this one especially made my day.

I enjoy teaching grammar far more than I probably should. It’s a great day when I get to teach about subject / verb agreement with prepositional phrases between.

Really excited about this week in ENG 12. My student teacher & I will conference w/ every student & help them set goals for the year. Of course, there will be plenty of writing along the way. We hope to individualize it so they can take responsibility for their own learning.
