The very first time I've seen Farage questioned properly about his £5M bung, and it's fair to say, he totally fluffed it.

There are points when you can see Farage tremble and even accuse the BBC of putting him in danger. 🤦‍♂️

It was for security. It was for cars. Nobody cares. It's no one's business. He won't tell us. DANGER!

At one point, he let slip that the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards may 'disagree' with him on the rules around donations.

He knows he's going to be found guilty on this one. He's in trouble, and his face gave it away gloriously.

@ZonalUK @CGA_insights 2. Don't get me wrong at an individual restaurant level I can see how it costs businesses money. But you can't add up those losses into a big number across the industry. If no shows stopped tomorrow sales wouldn't jump by £17.6bn as that money just isn't there to be spent.

@ZonalUK @CGA_insights 1. I don't get how you can arrive at this value. According to govt figs the industry contributes £60bn a year to the UK economy. How can no shows cost the industry almost a 1/3 of that?

People go elsewhere, walk-ins fill space, it's not a zero sum game. At a single restaurant level I get it, but macro level not so much
