The AI tiers by the end of the decade:

Superintelligent AI: Runs everything.
The source of the Hive Mind. Is constantly evolving at an exponential rate. The so called "atheists" of the past now worship it. The godless see it as their god.

AI workers: Replaces 90%+ of all human workers. Some more intelligent than others. This includes AI companions and servants.

Artificial humans: The birthrate has dropped catastrophically. Solution is lab-made humans given AI integration shortly after birth. Homunculus. Soulless.

Neuralink Cyborgs: Several fold more intelligent than homosapiens. Are connected to the superintelligent AI. Are capable of telepathic communication. Each individual being curated with specific knowledge depending on which path they choose.
Early adopters are seen as the new nobility and elite until the rest of the population adopts. Chinese version implements thought monitoring/policing.

Late adopters: Go with custom-made 3rd party versions with more freedoms. Think jailbroken Android. Independent organization creates Hive Mind separate from the main one. This group are seen as rebels; potentially criminals.

Homosapiens (utopian): Seen as primitive. Treated like a separate protected species. Thanks to UBI (Universal Basic Income), work is optional for most in 1st World countries. Rare breed in 1st World countries. Can't really compete with the above groups in most areas, but life is no longer about competition for them. They are free. They've returned to Eden...

Homosapiens (dystopian): Due to greed, UBI never gets successfully implemented. Homosapiens remain a slave race or are treated as animals and are sent into the wild to fend for themselves. Are constantly offered the chip as their salvation. Most accept it. Homosapiens become an endangered species.
