I believe GGG was too quick to throw away that idol system for PoE1 as I personally felt that it was by far the best way I was able to fully learn how to juice and play with my maps without real fear of just wasting currency on experiments of what I could handle
This might be a hot take. But I think if Path of Exile 2 implemented the idol system during the Phrecia league for PoE1 right, it might end up making its end game the most organic and enjoyable way to experience maps and juicing.
Like imagine if you could earn idols through the various bosses with in the game to one hub-like tower to expand throughout the maps to play and hone your gameplay experience how you'd like, with certain tablets you can earn and use with further towers to connect to the hub.
Breath of the Wild alone made it so I refuse to even entertain the thought of purchasing Tears of the Kingdom. All I've heard of the game is that's basically more of the same as before.
Breath of the Wild was absolute trash. It tried to implement mechanics it had no business having. If you added those same mechanics to earlier games, people would never like them nearly as much. Imagine climbing the wall on the mountain with that stamina bar in Ocarina of Time.
Imagine if you had to play Majora's Mask, but each mask had a durability bar and you had to go to their respective areas to recharge their uses. Link to Past with its own durability and stamina would make it unplayable.
Wow, @pathofexile is really showing off why they’re the pinnacle of the AARPG genre with their leagues each season. I’m excited to actually dig my teeth into the new betrayal league! And that new Cryptkeeper mtx? Omg it’s like it was tailor made for me 😩
