Make a math lesson of it. Earth Circumference = appx 40,000 km...then / 24 is apx 1600. This number is the length of a time zone in kms...and the speed you and your class are travelling in kms per hour as the earth rotates. Thats faster than an airliner!!

A student purposefully damaged a science prop in my classroom today while I was following the class from another room. Never had to deal with this before. Im at a loss as to how to address it. Any teacher advice? #teacherlife

Studies by sleep experts show that a teens melatonin levels dont elevate for sleep until appx 11pm. So early to bed is biologically impossible for teens. California is phasing in later school start times to give teens a better chance to be fully awake at school. #teacherlife
