AITA? Sure. “1917”
Accidentally kicked the seat in front - 3X! Guy stood up at end & let me have it—no profanity, just insulted me, I apologized. He explained I could’ve moved, I apologized again.
His GF chirped at my wife about paying their tickets. They blocked exit, he started up again. I deepened my voice, looked him in eye & said: ‘I don’t know what you think is about to happen here but back off before this gets stupid.’
Took wife’s hand & walked past w/o looking back.
12-year-old full-size Mercedes. We were late for a live shot at the World Series of Golf in Akron. News director driving, with 2 reporters and me, the shooter. He blew past traffic, then went straight for the exit. I glanced over his shoulder, speedo passing 120. We all locked eyes, then stared at our feet until we got off.
@miles_commodore My mom was the same way - I ate Bran Flakes for breakfast!
You would’ve thought she was a judge deliberating a capital case when she finally agreed to let me try Wheaties.
@worstcatOG@Nerdcognito How’s this for cry?
“Cry justice, and let slip the hounds of zeal!”
Badass battle cry for a lawful good human paladin to rally the party. Verbal component to aid, bless or heroism?
Thanks “bro,” I never would’ve thought of this without your smartassery.
@worstcatOG@Nerdcognito I was going to debate this post, but then I looked at your profile page.
Guys like you are what reminds me why I left the hobby.
Couldn’t disagree more. Good and evil are absolutely not relative. They are moral, well, absolutes.
And if a player wants to play semantics with chaos versus law, then he doesn’t get all the bonuses and special abilities of a paladin.
You’re probably going to tell me that open dungeon RPG isn’t, but epic heroic fantasy is not the place to explore these issues. Call of Cthulhu or a modern game or science fiction game, sure.
It’s like the difference between LotR and GoT.
You can’t see all 14,000,605 possible outcomes so just go with the dry roll. Your imagination isn’t good enough to decide in the moment whether the roll derail or elevate your game
The other thing is your players need to trust you. The best campaign I ever ran almost didn’t finish because the players thought I was cheating.
