A5: I have been considering the Master of Arts in History or Teaching. If I do pursue one, I’m leaning towards History, it has applications in both teaching and other fields. I’m not sure if I am interested in pursuing a doctorate. #ap3040

A4: With my history major and military background, there are a variety of military and civilian historian and alternative education jobs that would be an option for me. #ap3040

A3: I was surprised by the 0 years of experience pay scale in some of the counties/cities. It is higher than what google lists as the average salary for Tennessee. It makes me wonder which counties are the lowest. #ap3040

A2: Getting advice from veteran teachers on how to get over initial challenges and be more effective. Figuring out ways to separate or leave behind stress when it is time to relax or recover can help. That way they do not carrying it over and becoming fatigued. #ap3040

A1: Teachers quit for many different reasons, from realizing the job is not what they thought it would be, to allowing stress to overcome them, or administrative pressure. I personally know 2 fellow veterans that quit teaching within the last 6 months. #ap3040
