@mathsjem@MeganGuinan1 Thanks for your session and our chat (standing room only for me). Can’t wait to try out some new methods with the team. Your book is on the way too for us to use in department meetings
Who’s heading to the @MEIMaths conference this year? Hoping to make the Quiz on the Wednesday night! If a team is in need of some niche musical theatre knowledge, I’m your man!
@mathsteacher09@draustinmaths Copy and paste the text into Copilot and ask it to make a set of similar questions. Double check they work but generally it’s pretty good
@1stclassmaths Can’t tell you how much our department appreciates your work and website. Your FM booklets have also been invaluable to my class. Absolutely no rush, as I can’t imagine your workload, but do you know when the FM predicted paper will be out?
@missradders Same here. Dire… we’ve managed to recruit properly for Sept but have to deal with supply until the summer… we’ve set up a rota for staff to share their lessons so it doesn’t fall to one person, but we’re all feeling it, morale low right now
@tombennett71 We have had a strong rule on phones forever. They are blanket banned, if one is seen it is taken for 3 weeks, no exceptions. Students have the option to drop their phone at the office at the start of the day and pick it up at the end. Works really well. I’ve taken 2 in 8 years.
#FACupFinal with a bench of; De Gea, Stones, Varane, Gundogan, Bernardo Silva, Rodri, Foden, Mahrez, Sancho.
Can we just have a combined Manchester team all the time???

@Simon_Richards8@DrWilkinsonSci Pupils always ask me this and I say “of course I’d get a 9, I’d get 80/80 on every paper, otherwise I shouldn’t be teaching you to do the same” I find it very strange when people suggest otherwise.
@hayo_luke In Maths at KS3 we have 7 classes in each year group, one is a traditional “top set” and then the rest are mixed ability. We’ve seen an improvement in the lower ability students, while still making sure students are stretched and challenged in all groups
In this Energy Crisis, we’ve found UW to be the best price by a long way.

Happy to answer any questions
@MrLandesman Set the expectations;
1. A set place on desks where whiteboard equipment goes, can’t be anywhere else.
2. Students have to, almost in unison as a bit of fun, click the pen lids back after each question.
3. Any doodling, the pen and whiteboard are removed, answers verbally.
@jshmtn Oh I’m sure they’ll give it a good go. Just the fact that we’ve lost a game will spark mass racist hatred. There’s a lot of good in football, but unfortunately the bad far outweighs it. “Ignorant Britain” we should be renamed.
@tm_maths I was back in school for 1 week then had to set 2 weeks of cover for paternity. Came back last week to utter chaos in books and topics taught! Kids also not used to my high expectations.
Wow. You can’t deny the sheer brilliance of Guardiola and the talent of this city team. Phenomenal football, United utterly and completely torn apart. Respect where it is due.
A humbled United fan
