CPD-INVOLVED SHOOTING/3 PPL SHOT, 1 KILLED 💥
Chicago Police are investigating 3 separate shootings, all near a large block party overnight.
The first shooting occurred around 12:32am, Officers were attempting to disperse a large crowd at a block party called #ClubPrinceton. During the disperse, an officer spotted a male with a gun. Officers attempted to detain and disarm the suspect, during the struggle, the suspect’s firearm discharged and he was struck in the thigh. The suspect was taken to UofC Hospital 🏥 in fair condition.
No officers fired their weapons and no one else were injured.
Around 2:55am, just a few blocks down the same street, CPD & EMS responded to a person shot on 48th & Princeton. Upon arrival, they found a 25-yr-old male with a Gsw to the head. He was rushed to Provident Hospital 🏥 where he was pronounced 0-1-1-0 (Deceased) 💔
Around 3:05am, on the same exact block, a 22-yr-old female was standing outside, when she was shot in the back. She was rushed to UofC Hospital 🏥 in fair condition.
No suspects are in custody for neither shootings, as Area Detectives are investigating.
