Today I got to tell a child in my class, who has totalled 4/80 for his last 4 maths assessments, that he got 14/20 for his last maths assessment. The look on his face and the faces of his peers turned this meh day into a really blooming’ good one #whyiloveteaching
@Alex_Bramley3 Can I send Caz my bank details as well? 😂😂 I’m dreading the possibility of moving classrooms at the end of this year - this would definitely ease that slightly! What a great thing to do. My last school ‘gave’ us £50 once which they made so hard to claim back 🤷🏽♂️😂
I’m not ready to go back tomorrow but I am so ready to see my class on Tuesday and talk about everything they’ve been up to - even if, like me, they haven’t done anything!

I'm sorry if you've heard me tell this story before. Many of you will have seen me tweet it previously. But I just love it for what it is, and I make no apologies for that.
In primary school, when I was about 7, I met this young boy. A new kid in school. I'll call him Ben.

First day back after half term and I already have a parent emailing me to complain that I was disappointed their child hadn’t completed their homework on time… 😂
