This is slowly causing the term to be more of an aesthetics thing rather than an age thing.

@ppslayer_vt Due to the sensitivity of condensers room treatment is worth it.
There are things you can do to reduce flat surfaces, rugs on the floor, thick curtains, I saw someone with a wall of Pokémon plushies which probably works.
But even some moving blankets on the walls might help.

@ppslayer_vt The blue yeti is a condenser, so it's worth thinking what irks you about it and seeing if you can eq it better.
A few good bang for the buck condenser mics would be the At2020, Rode nt-1 and Lewitt 440 pure.
