What is the secret to living to 100? I’m in Hollywood attending the 99th birthday of Hilary Knight. Here’s my gift bag - with his beautiful watercolor of me - a poster he designed for my show Songs For A Blue Angel- a Marlene Dietrich tribute. The show was Hilary’s idea. I hardly knew who she was - but I studied German and learned her songs. Hilary designed my costumes. Jewelry- the whole show- all of his videos of the show burned to ash last year in the Altadena Fire - just as the @nypl Performing Arts Division was expressing interest in taking the tapes. #theartoffriendship
