BREAKING: Shocking news from Dr Cal Horton @FierceMum who posts on Bluesky: The NHS has sent out letters saying all trans people under the age of 18 are to be FORCIBLY detransitioned. And @UKLabour @jamesmurray_ldn @Lord_Collins have the cheek to announce they are banning trans conversion therapy. LIE.

From current information a blanket medical withdrawal / forced detransition is being applied to all age groups under 18.

The 'investigation' and alleged 'potential harms' are an absolute joke.

The letters say that medication will not be possible after July.

There is no reassurance about continuity of care.

They simply say people should access the children's gender service (which hasn't prescribed anything to anyone in the 3 years since opening).

They do not say the children's gender service will continue any medication.

They say the children's gender service will provide 'psychological support'. Plus discussion of any concerns about a child's physical health in relation to any medication received.

They argue that access to blockers/HRT has been an act of medical harm. That it is an act of 'safety' to remove it.

Important reminder - a year long 'investigation' took place without even once speaking to any family, child or young person involved. Not even once.

Because the people involved are happy with the care provided, consider it critical and often life-saving care.

The investigation is a giant fraud.

Really important to emphasise - they have not been able to find ANY actual harms through a year long investigation.

Not one.

Instead a load of made up harms including, from today's letters this gem...

Case notes from when GP took over privately prescribed medication (as told to do so by Streeting in the puberty blocker criminalisation) fail to show "consideration of the possibility that gender incongruence and distress may be a transient phenomenon which resolves with increasing age". Garbage.

There is not a good time for forced medical detransition.

But, young people were informed yesterday that decision letters would come today.

Today is GCSE Maths exam.

Tomorrow GCSE English lit exam.

The NHS really could not care less for the well-being of these young people. All this after Wes Streeting’s bullshit in his interview with @lewis_goodall

So trade unions launched a fundraiser to save it, eventually raising more money than was cut.

Which means this year's Pride will be bigger than ever.

In the 1980s, the LGBT+ community raised thousands of pounds to help striking miners and their families.
