Saw this brilliant theatre yesterday. Beautiful and very moving homage to Stephen and Black Londoners. The entire company were excellent special shout out to @MrKarlCollins and @DoreeneBStock . Writing was beautiful and what a feat to pull off @Excalibah. A great experience!
Still thinking about #thearchitect and how local it felt, yet universal. It built a community in the audience. 2.22 does that. The shadow factory did it. Hoxton street at Hoxton hall too but it still feels radical to experience it.
#TheArchitect " a performance & remembrance that will uplift people and give us joy. That is Blackness. It is beautiful. Like the Sankofa bird we look back and fly forward. Even in sorrow, we create something that moves and keeps the movement moving on.”

Just saw #thearchitect@GDIFestival and LOVED it. The sheer organisation behind it, deserves huge credit, and exploring my home area was a real treat. Gorgeous storytelling. Heart full. Space belongs to us all.
Gosh, that monologue at the end of #TheArchitect with pictures of Stephen Lawrence revealed towards the climax was so moving & powerful. I may not have been able to see the whole play but I do think that was still worth seeing. Catch it if you can as part of @GDIFestival
