I was a little brave today when my lovely yr 8s asked if I had a girlfriend and I said no a boyfriend…after remembering I have nothing to hide (after years in a Catholic school as a child) and happy to help normalise LGBT representation. ☺️
@MrMcofficial86 @skrichards1998 I think that’s amazing! I never leave school before 5:30 but more like 6 most evenings with 6 lessons to plan. I force myself to the gym by packing my stuff and driving straight there or I’d never go!
(1) This is what those who criticise ordinary classroom teachers don’t see. 63 mock examinations to be marked in 7 days. On average each paper has 7-8 pages of content. This is my weekend. I do it because I care and appreciate my students and their work…
For any Spanish teachers out there looking for GCSE grammar resources, I made a handbook you can download. I have linked the Google Drive link below! It also has a Google Slides version #mfltwitterati
@SebastianLi18@HeroicMrT And try to see each day as a fresh start to try new approaches. Remember it is a job and your health comes first. During my first year, I’d think about the day in the car then have a cut off point when I stopped. And remember behaviour is not personal! No one has cracked it yet!
@SebastianLi18@HeroicMrT Sorry to hear this Sebastian. Make sure you reach out for support- brainstorm strategies with your mental, let your SLT lead know the target classes and see if they can pop in and suggest strategies. Most importantly, do not be hard on yourself
@lewizrs That makes me feel better! It’s mainly thinking of planning 5 Y12 lessons a week from scratch on top of all the other year groups that is freaking me out. But one day at a time 😂😅
@filletdabitchx@NandosUK I went yesterday and it was the worst I’ve ever had. Hummus starter took 45 minutes and the waitor said no knives as they are ‘in the wash’
I am SO proud of my Y11s!! Their results are amazing and reflect 2 years of hard work. Particularly blown away with their speaking marks! Happy students and teacher here 🥳🥳🥳🥳
