I had a wonderful time last week getting to assist with 21st Century at @ACSHPatriots where students had to budget to create the Spookiest Haunted House 👻 Thank you Mr. Gross for allowing me to help out!

My first week of CEPT 2 has been great! Getting back into the classrooms after a long summer has been an amazing experience, we’ve been learning sentence structure this week as we ramp up for On-Demand writing in the coming weeks. I can’t wait to get more into teaching soon!

After a long CEPT semester, I can't help but look back on all of the memories i've made with my classmates and students in the last 15 weeks. My time in the classroom has taught me a lot about students and given me so much experience for my career, only 1 year left!

Unfortunately, I still have not improved with picture taking since my first lesson...but I am excited to finally get to teach again! My classes today got to practice with some close reading about the impact of changing school start time and its' effect on athletics!

My small town where I grew up had little to no diversity, seeing the amount of people here be diverse and ALSO accept it is wonderful to see. From learning Spanish slang to understanding how to be more direct with ESL students, my MT's classroom is so wholesome and accepting

The most impressive of CEPT is the sheer amount of diversity present in my mentors classroom. So many languages, ethnicities and personalities compared to where I grew up, all being acknowledged and understood by teachers and students in learning.

Everyone is unique, from varied backgrounds and our lived experiences we all see the world differently. Students are no different, they learn in different ways, from paper to making a video! Using Universal Design helps everyone learn equally and in their own way. @DrMargarella

As I begin my planning for my final lesson for CEPT, I'm considering the large impact that students have on each other. By working in groups together, they not only learn better, but help their peers learn better allowing everyone to succeed. Hoping to implement it in a fun way!

I look forward to teaching every week, and soon i'll have my own class and be able to help students reach their potential. My time in CEPT has me looking forward to that future every day and I can't wait! First though, I should probably work on taking better pictures...

I had an awesome week reviewing Romeo and Juliet and analyzing Shakespeare's writing, the words have been difficult for the kids but our word wall has been a great resource. Ready for another great week of @CEPTatWKU at @DrakesCreekMS !
