When I say I’m a Lecturer in Sport Coaching, I often get a slightly look to suggest inferiority. To clarify, I combine natural & social sciences, in ways not too dissimilar to anthropology, to better understand & optimise human functioning. Coaching ain’t simple.

U15s Barnsley 4-2 Sheffield. Just goes to prove all this about tactics, formations, principles of play and shape is totally irrelevant compared to the very basics; a will to be first to the ball and compete.

Well that’s it! Another summer over! I’ll say it quietly but I’m actually looking forward to going back! New job, new challenge and more importantly ROUTINE!!

Well done to these young men yesterday who finished the season off @EastRidingFA 7 a side tournament.They made every decision, tactic, substitute etc themselves with absolutely no input from me 👏🏻 ⚽️
