Had such a wonderful time at the Farmington conference in Oxford this weekend. Some excellent presentations and discussions with people all round! Looking forward to next year!

I have two copies of The Visualiser Handbook to give away.

This is for busy teachers who need concise clarity to make live modelling an effect part of their practice ASAP.

To enter, follow, like and retweet this post and I will draw winners at random on the 18th July.

"Whatcha doin?"

"Oh, you know, not much, just watching a live feed of a chimney."

More days like this please, soul feeling refreshed.

Used this to help expand analytical statements for GCSE. Worked well!

Using ‘snowflakes’ is a good way to get pupils to think through their ideas and how they compare with those of others in preparation for a discussion. Here is an example…

Lovely @parkrunUK at @marpleparkrun. Taking it slow ahead of @ManchesterHalf tomorrow. Did manage to take this lovely pic though!

Thank you @SteeleHeidi for organising tonight's excellent CPD and to Libby and @ChrisNatre for their presentations. I have come away with a journal full of thoughts and ideas to try in lessons next week.

Loved the idea of "review a scholar" especially for A02 practice!

An all too brief but great day in rainy London for the launch of the 2024-2025 Farmington Scholarship.
Had some great talks with people about their projects, some good opportunities for collaboration too for the year ahead.
Thank you to @TheRAFClub for hosting!

Connecting key words and scholars with Y12.

Students connect the chain by filling in the box with a key word or scholar. Their choices must connect with the previous and subsequent one given.

#teachertwitter Could you point me in the direction of any up to date CPD/research surrounding questioning in the classroom?

[Mr G @MrMatthewGibbo1]

@alisonstowe @HMCOxford I'm hoping it becomes a fixture in my calendar in the future, left with so many excellent ideas and thoughts.

[Mr G @MrMatthewGibbo1]

Just finished a lovely weekend in Oxford for the Farmington Conference at @HMCOxford

We were also treated to a private tour around Bodleian Library where we were shown some very rare books linked to education, including a 1st edition English translation of Plato's Republic!

[Mr G @MrMatthewGibbo1]

@SaimaSaleh_RE @HMCOxford Ah that's a shame! Was lovely chatting to you briefly Saima, really excited to see how your project comes along!

[Mr G @MrMatthewGibbo1]

Starting to think about half term and summer reading! Could anyone recommend some good books on children's mental wellbeing/pastoral care?
@PastoralLeaders @PastoralAht @PastoralMr Please RT!
