No Shins No Game

Our CWO is always going on about shin pads and how we must wear them for training and games, today one of our U12s was able to demonstrate why they are so important! When 2 players went for the ball everyone heard an almighty thud, later this is what our player found when she took her socks off 😮 she was really lucky she had nothing more than a bruise, without her shins it would have been much worse! #NoShinsNoGame

I'M A VOLUNTEER DIDN'T YOU KNOW !!!!!

I am a coach and I always try, Sometimes I get it wrong,
I attend extra learning and I research all night long.

I'm also a parent and a worker providing for my home,
My children have to share me, but never once do they moan.

Never think it's easy that all you have to do,
Is turn up at the pitch side until the game is through,

Lack of sleep the night before,
Pure panic as I walk through door,

Have I got all the equipment ? have I remembered my fee ?
Second questioning the team sheet, If only you could see.....

My kids have to get there early, and hear it all back home,
Sending texts, sorting games, Never off my phone.

On nights when there's no training,The laptops on my knee, My children missing my attention, Is there ever a night that's free ??
The list is never ending, My commitment is the key,
But never once have I ever believed that I'm doing this just for me,

I volunteer my own time,I love to see them grow,
Your support and appreciation Is all I ask you show.

So please if you think it's easy, Come along and give it a go,

A helping hand, Is always grand,

Im a volunteer didn't you know ........!!
