@Derek09329884@_BillyHoyleofNJ Trust him he has 1950s Rochester Royals contracts and Art Schectman was not worth the $2 a week when his bunions became a problem at age 32.
@_BillyHoyleofNJ@Derek09329884 You have 80 years of history on the ramifications of a 3 year old CBA and 2 year old media deal? 50 mil in 4 years is projected to be ~20% of the cap AKA bridges money. And the problem isn't the future years its the number for next year when they extend JB & OG.
@_BillyHoyleofNJ Not unpopular, for teams still trying to win a first title. Flexibility/decline beyond JBs prime doesnt matter.
someone miscalculated/assumed, its tainting the present and holding Hart hostage. No way the intention was to have an uncomfortable title defense. Inaccurate Vibes.
@ToddFuhrman@jdbo_ Of course this is the calculation. They still have to score a TD to win and even if they do a fg wins the game and you don't necessarily need the ball with time for a full drive. The browns were not going for 2 fgs to tie.
@Merbop96 The difference in whether thats a td or not is whether the defender is shaded a step or two closer to him/breaking out of coverage faster bc they're more aware of when he has the ball, the one step is whether or not Breece gets the corner on that last defender as much as speed.
@Merbop96 I do see what you are saying but I actually think the field is just shifted towards limiting him. The injury was 7 games into his rookie year and he had only started two games, it wasnt his second year.
@MacriGreg@DWC_1985 I think Mensah has a real chance to separate. the volume without essentially a single bad decision or inaccurate throw is insane. He's playing perfect football as a mobile 6'3" qb who has been elite in 3 systems and is actually 21, and @ ND is the biggest game left in the country
@NatureAmazesMe@NYJetsTFMedia Pretty sure it's about believing they have an actual quality unit ready for the next era, including a rookie who may have just emerged as pass rusher we have been missing since john Abraham.
@DWC_1985@quincywilliams_ Gtfo Quincy was the most fun Jet to watch on defense since at least adams if not the rex era. The closing speed, the green hair, the violent hits you must not have watched today...
@NDS1089 And if they beat the pats and are 500 in a week, will you say that is meaningless too?
The colts and cowboys picks are worse then ours right now. This time we can root for them to suck.
@Merbop96 I agree with you on team breece im just disputing this narrative that he is no longer a home run hitter. The difference from then to now is the degree to which limiting his explosives is #1 on the defensive gameplan.
@Robrags1999@JetsOptimism Massively undervaluing the way defenses have to account for Breece's ability to regularly turn checkdowns into explosive plays and what that does for the whole team.
@deanjohn2020@DWC_1985 They're better. Winning every game you could win, while learning to win, isnt reasonable. If we beat them, are 3-3, and just beat the division winner that went to the super bowl, will you be willing to let go? Last year the season was already over. This is clear progress.
@DiveBarGeezus@DWC_1985 The defense is legitmately good, him calling the plays is obviously working, these people would have benched Peyton Manning and already traded Drake Maye in fantasy
@deanjohn2020@DWC_1985 Are you watching the same team? This is clearly an improved team. As long as it is clearly continuing to move in that direction, and the players play their asses off for him, what matters is whether he has learned from the mistakes when the team is actually good.
@DWC_1985 Totally agree. He absolutely has blunders, but the players play for him. The defense is vastly improved with him calling plays. There is clearly progress from last year to this year. If I can care in November this year, December next year, he can learn on the job until January.
