Friday has begun in earnest with a writing assessment. After morning tea we are going to attempt some maths problem solving and then enjoy period 5. After lunch is time to finalise the tricky Lines of Inquiry and Central Idea for Exhibition...
So tomorrow (Thursday) we are starting with some more narrative writing (and editing) followed by Algebra Top Trumps (the game, not β¬οΈ guy) in maths. And we are gonna nail those Lines of Inquiry in the afternoon.
Already the middle of the week! Some proof reading tomorrow in literacy, then more algebra in maths (they did well on Tuesday!) and sport in the afternoon - athletics π€ΈββοΈ
Nice short week coming up and a relatively easy day to start the week. Literacy begins with some verb work, then in maths we are working with decimals and we have a SPEC in the afternoon. Let's do this.
Students attempting to create lines of inquiry and a central idea today. They actually did really well - it's not easy! Fortunately we have more time on it tomorrow after Literacy (flat Earth debate), and Maths (problem solving).
Today was good, but tomorrow will be better - we start with SPEC in the morning, followed by Fraction Fun in the middle block and then getting really stuck into Exhibition stuff in the afternoon...
Welcome back to school for Term 4! I'm looking forward to exhibition where the students really take ownership of their learning and will explore some interesting ideas leading to some meaningful action.
And so the last day of term rolls around... Fitness, Literacy, Morning Tea, Maths, furniture arrangement, assembly, lunch, another assembly and home...
Happy days with some birthday cake today and a SPEC in the morning. And it's Friday! Last week of term next week, including exciting trips around Auckland - I don't remember school being this fun when I was a kid...
Proud of the students participating in AIMS next week - looking forward to following their progress β½οΈππΎπΈπβ³οΈπ€ΈββοΈπ§ββοΈβΉοΈββοΈπ₯π Go BBI!!
Woah! Friday and I haven't updated in days! Sorry! Today we have the usual suspects; Literacy, followed by Maths and then Inquiry in the afternoon... FriYAY!
Tuesday = Literacy - writing myths. Maths = survey data analysis - thanks for filling those in. Period 5 = various fun activities. Afternoon = Inquiry - the power of photography.
