@F_rederic_k@reycollazo82 #4 is the most interesting point.
I never considered the sign&trade route as a means to acquire his bird rights to sign him for more next year if he's successful.
@RyanLucas_LA Seems fair. Though with a higher salary I'd be looking for at least 2 guaranteed years if I'm Pelinka. A 1+1 has minimal upside if they're so confident in him.
@OtisKirk23@LALMuse Not accurate. IF Ayton opts in he would solve 2 problems.
#1. A competent backup big
#2. His current salary allows them to stay below the 2nd apron.
@LakersLegacyPod Drop Marcus Smart & Jaxson Hayes into that bench infinity stone and let the highlights fly!!
I like Jalen Smith as a potential trade option as well.
@TheLakersReview The key to the off-season is turning Vando+Knecht+#25 into a legit rotation/ starter level player.
That would allow you to use your cap space to sign 1 impact FA or 2 solid starters.
@vinaykillawala Rui has improved every year. At this point he's a borderline elite shooter. I think he's lair very well with a high motor athletic shot blocker/rebounder.
He's a low to mid end starter.
I'd love trading for Claxton
Signing wiggins resigning Rui.
@DOC323123 It makes the most sense to acquire a starting center before free agency. It likely forces Deandre Ayton to opt out which frees up more cap space.
@Abe_OGBullsFan@JCowleyHoops I could see a 3 way trade
Lakers:
Cam Johnson
Okoro
Jalen Smith
11.6(TPE)
Bulls get:
Vanderbilt
Knecht
Pk#25
Nuggets get:
Jake Laravia
