GOOD MORNING!! Don't plan the week. Plan the first rep. You don't win Monday by looking at Friday. The outcome isn't the process, and the process is the only thing you control—the thing in front of you, done right, then the next. Do that enough and the week builds itself. Take the first one sharp. The standard is contagious, mostly to yourself. Hold it Monday, Tuesday inherits it. Drop it Monday, you climb back till Wednesday.
That rep sets the standard the whole week answers to. Take it clean. LFG

I realized today there are D&D players who have never lived with an unanswered rules question.
Today, you ask Google, or the AI flavor of the day, and have an answer in seconds.
AD&D wasn’t so lucky.
Beginning with Dragon Magazine #31 in November 1979, Jean Wells introduced Sage Advice, where players could mail TSR their toughest rules questions, hope theirs was selected, then wait weeks, or even months, to see the answer in a future issue.
It became the closest thing we had to an official FAQ, settling countless arguments at gaming tables around the world. The column proved so popular that it continued under several authors, including Skip Williams, and remained a fixture of Dragon Magazine through its final print issue in 2007.
What now takes 10 seconds once took a stamped envelope, a lot of patience… and a subscription to Dragon.
This was the series that hooked me and got me into fantasy.
The Belgariad by David Eddings.
I still remember that first journey with Garion, Belgarath, Silk, and Polgara. Once I started, there was no turning back.
What was your fantasy hook?
Here is another of the Dungeons and Dragons board game adaptations. I like the Intrigue cards. You can really slow down other players with those. The quests are fun also. Takes 90 ish minutes to play. Loads of fun.

“Usinger's and baseball, it’s just not summer without them. Hardware Hank, you’ve got a lot more going for. you. with. Hank, hardware Hank.”
Amazing how all Brewers fans can read these same words and hear it all the exact same.
A wight in an adventure for levels 1 to 3?
Old school D&D wasn’t balanced.
It wasn’t fair.
The encounters weren’t scaled to your level.
The dungeon didn’t care if you lived or died.
And somehow that made every victory feel real.
Every old school gamer eventually learns the same lessons…
Fear the dragon.
Respect the troll.
Never underestimate creatures that hunt in groups.
