@dan_aykroyd I guess we can all agree it lands firmly in the "Cult Favorite" category, because it's deeply weird, creative, funny, gross, and I love it.
How about you reach out to @VinegarSyndrome ? I think we all would love that R-rated "Valkenvania: Nothing But Trouble The Director's Cut"!
@Karzworks This reminds me: Have you ever watched the Korean series on NETFLIX called "Sweet Home"? I somewhat enjoyed the first season, but by the time season 2 came out, I had forgotten the characters and didn't feel like starting over. Some OK-ish creatures though.
@VinegarSyndrome@M3S0soic@toho_movie When I first saw it I was NOT prepared for how amazing the environmental design would be. Neeeeed this in beautiful microbial detail. Is Toho even aproachable?
@Karzworks I remember when you re-worked the base while still in the wax stage, altering them from straight/flat tentacles into the pushed-up raised stance. Made it so much more dynamic and exciting. Expert design. One of my favorites.
@Karzworks You have to. They will be lonely without their friends.
Don't forget Glaaki, Cthylla, Nyarlathotep, and Zagon 😜.
And maybe even the Shagoth if you find that variant head for the HideBehind.
@Karzworks WOAH. That's out of this world!
Does re-enforcing the glow with the second pour of black vinyl allow you to safely pull from risker molds? Like Zagon for instance, I remember you told me, do to the way Zagon's legs were designed, it made softer translucent and glow impossible.
@Karzworks Yeah! Zombies also bore me too! It's the familairity of humans, but decayed? Not that interesting.
It's surprising to me how in the broad community of "horror fans" Slashers and Zombies are often the most celebrated, and I'm just like *yawn* 🥱.
Monsters or nothin'!
@Karzworks I realize they can still be great films. But, they just don't click with me, personally.
What are your thoughts, from a creature-lover perspepective?
@Karzworks I have mixed feelings over "monster" movies featuring barely augmented real-world animals.
1. They tend to demonize wild creatures resulting in them being unfairly targeted in real life.
2. It's just not as interesting to me, as a creature design.
