Really proud of my AP Econ kids as I look at the released test scores. Lots of qualifying scores and some new members of Club 55 but, WAY more importantly, my students took on Micro and Macro at a college level, worked hard, and persevered. Scores aside, that's what counts.
Sure, In The Heights and Hamilton are brilliant but you can’t appreciate the full genius of @Lin_Manuel until your Sesame loving toddler introduces you to Murray Has A Little Lamb.
Toddler Life:
“Hey buddy, do you want to go to the farmers market today?”
Child spontaneously cries.
“Do you have fire trucks on your pajamas?”
Immediately stops crying....”Ohhhh YES!”
“Do you want to go to the farmers market?”
“Ohhhhh YES!!!”
What a thrilling and enlightening experience listening to the incomparable @agordonreed speak and answer questions this morning. This @Gilder_Lehrman workshop is doubling as a “meet your heroes” camp. Feeling so grateful and inspired for the opportunity.
Beyond excited to attend Political Pioneers and the Founding Era workshop through @Gilder_Lehrman at the Hingham Historical Society over the next three days. Everything GL does is first class and you can’t get better professional development as a history teacher.
This year’s AP Macroeconomics students fell just slightly behind 2018’s all-time high performance, but still achieved a higher percentage of 3,4,5s than students from 2010-2017.
This year’s AP Microeconomics scores break the record for highest-ever scores in this subject. An astonishing half of them achieved 4s and 5s this year. Impressive work, AP Micro teachers and students!
1977. 1978. 1990. 2013. Last four times the Cup was been won in Boston the road team was the one lifting Lord Stanley. Chance to rectify that tonight. Let’s get the most beautiful trophy in sports in the home locker room tonight! Let’s go Bruins!
@HSHistTeach Amen to that. I had a student writing a research paper about something related to the Civil War one year say “I can’t find anything about my topic.” The Civil War! When you search the Civil War on the BPL site it returns over 12,000 results.
Year six in the books. Reading kind words of gratitude from students is humbling and a great reminder of why we do what we do as teachers. It’s never easy but it’s always meaningful and fulfilling work. I’m so grateful I get to do something I love every day.
