Semi final action!🚨

Congratulations to both our Y8 Boys and U15s Girls football teams, for making it through to the semi finals of the Barnsley Schools Competition!🎉

Unfortunately this was the end of the road for both with the Y8s losing on penalties and U15s losing narrowly.

Our first ever Rugby fixture! 🏟️

We hosted Kirk Balk in the schools first ever designated Rugby fixture.

It was a good, competitive game that our U15s boys team won! 🎉

Tuesday saw the return of the athletics fixtures for 2025! 📆

The South Yorkshire Qualifiers were a great success for 8 of our students, who have been selected to represent Barnsley! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

Enrichment update 🚨

So far this year we have had 3200 attendances at our enrichments!!

We have also had a further 450 students represent the academy in fixtures!!

🎩 Trick of wins this week for our football teams!

Our Y7 and Y8 boys both won away at @BarnsleyAcadem1, thanks for hosting!

Our U15 girls also won against our neighbours @HolyTrinity_PE, again thanks for hosting!

Last week we visited @OAShaftonPE for some girls football in the rain!🌧️

Our U15s won their league game and our U13s fought hard but lost in their friendlies!

Our enrichment programme has started with a bang! 💥 In just three weeks of after school clubs we have had 621 attendees at after school clubs and 92 taking part in fixtures! ⚽️🏉🏐

This evening we were on our travels again with our first rugby festival of the year! 🏉💪

Last evening our first round of football and netball fixtures were played against Kirk Balk! 🏐⚽️

Over 80 students represented Carlton, some doing so for the first time! A mixed bag of results was fitting with all games being competitive 💪
