📉The figures for teacher training 2022/2023 are in & are far below target. Experts have called the latest data “grim” and warned of the knock-on effect on schools.
Here’s everything you need to know👇 @tes
@MissSmith_PE@PeActive@The_EverLearner@AaronTFearn Heard the same from my students - very positive with the 8/15 markers due to amount of practice we’d done on those areas with the guidance from Advanced Info.

@MrFallickPE Top work 👏🏼 Appreciate you may want to ditch Twitter to relax on your holidays now - but on the off chance, do you have any do’s/dont’s or tips for running Summer School? I’m organising ours alongside a colleague and it starts on August 26 for our new Year 7’s.
£1.4bn works out as an extra £50 per pupil. The package provided in the US works out as £1600 extra per pupil. In the Netherlands, it works out as £2500 per pupil...
This morning @GavinWilliamson told me : “Maybe this is being a Yorkshireman but I always thought £1.4bn was a pretty hefty amount."
This evening Sir Kevan Collins said "I do not believe it is credible that a successful recovery can be achieved with a programme of this size."
Bank holiday washout providing me with the perfect opportunity to catch up on the “Maximising Success at A-Level” CPD sessions with @PeActive. It’s great that if you can’t make the live session, you can watch it retrospectively @HodderSchools.
Turns out, I wasn't far off with this prediction - the 9 marker in the 2020 paper 1 was: "Analyse the different methods that Nell could use to prevent injury and recover from vigorous exercise to optimise her performance."
Today should have been AQA GCSE PE Paper 1! I wonder if/when we will see the papers? What were people’s predictions for the 6/9 markers? I was thinking something on aerobic/anaerobic exercise and a synoptic question on the principles of training and preventing injury.
I’m sure most people already know but I haven’t seen anybody tweet it yet. The AQA 2021 examination materials are live on E-AQA for both A-Level and GCSE. It’s essentially a mixture of questions from 2018,19,20 papers.
@mrsprendhistory Love this! Could also add ‘Plenty of time/more than enough time’ - to make it low stakes so they’re not rushing under a time pressure - very appropriate when using online platforms like quizziz etc.
