@Nelly29598213@SunTzuHatesU@MsTab00 People also die in fights every day, which is what happened to the assailant that started this fight. Anthony will be acquitted.
@Michael98549227@NewJersey_Rob@waronweakness If it was a felony, then he would have been charged. The fact that's not included in his indictment further proves that you have no idea what you're talking about.
@srg5400@Michael98549227@NewJersey_Rob@waronweakness Rittenhouse was in a state where he didn't live. Karmelo was at an event for a school that he attended.
Rittenhouse killed two people with a semiautomatic rifle. Anthony used a knife that killed one.
Anthony has a much stronger claim of self-defense than Rittenhouse did.
@_OSUDUDE@MsTab00 Texas is an open carry state. So if he had a gun instead of a knife (which fall under the open carry laws in Texas), then you would be fine with it, right?
@TerryLong81@MsTab00 Lots of people may not deserve to die, but actions have consequences. That's why you don't go around putting your hands on people. It's pretty simple.
@Michael98549227@NewJersey_Rob@waronweakness You're the only failing here.
1. Unlike Rittenhouse, who was also acquitted, Karmelo was in a place he had a right to be.
2. Karmelo was not committing any crime.
3. He told the assailant not to attack him, and the assailant did anyway, making him justified in defending himself.
@DemonScreamin53@_notReallyDre@NewJersey_Rob@waronweakness The only one trying to twist the law to cope is you. You don't get to tell someone else how to react when physically threatened. This is why you don't go around putting your hands on people. Under the law, he was right to defend himself.
@Michael98549227@NewJersey_Rob@waronweakness Texas is a "stand your grand" state, meaning that that law does not require one to retreat from danger before defending himself, using deadly force if necessary. Karmelo was standing his ground against an attacker who placed himself at risk by instigating unnecessary violence.
