On the morning of July 29, 2025,
immediately after the ceasefire took effect, the Thai armed forces illegally arrested Cambodian military personnel. As of September 9, 2025, they have been detained unlawfully for 42days.

SIEM REAP--Several hundred Cambodians from Sydney and Canberra gathered on August 3 in front of the Australian Parliament in a peaceful protest to call for peace in Cambodia and to demand Thailand’s release of the 18 captured Prisoners of War (POWs).
The demonstrations, among many others, held by Cambodian diasporas in different regions from the US to Europe, in support of the ongoing peace effort, urge the international community to take action to ensure that lasting peace will prevail.
