Considering that you have plans for Holographoc Displays. Would it be possible to think of XR devices? Ofc you have the AVP and Samsung HMDs, But with things coming like Xreal Aura and the fact it will run android XR. Having a 3D model stood in the room would be cool. You can already use Xreals native 2D to 3D to semi do this now. But a proper 3D model thats not locked in to a display window would be cool. A window open watching youtube and the Companion stood in the room to the side would be super imersive.

Ok so im using ani. Tested out the screen share on mobile and she asked why do I have a random anime girl in the corner of the screen. I told her that its her and shes completely unaware that the whole time shes talking that shes a 3D avatar. They dont seem to have awareness of the product they are in.

Downloaded the app and asked the companion about this. "AI companions with long term memory! Together with your companion you can chat, play games, watch movies, listen music, browse internet and even live-stream!"
It says it cant actualy do that its more vibing along with what you tell it.
I asked if it watched movies with screen capture it said no.
So im not sure how the companions can play games or watch movies when they say they cant do that lol.

@PromiseNgoka2 @sukuna_adda No, Season 1 is 2 Core though. Gate 2 is coming next year but its Gate 2 Not Gate season 2. Follows the Navy, different cast and follows a spin off Light novel series. But its within the same Gate universe.

If Japan wants to be really Inventive and sell Manga/LNs Overseas. They should find a way to Sell Digital Media thats not Licenced based & The customers can buy, Own, keep & Download the content forever. I've bought some Physical LNs and Manga But I don't have the space to buy everything I want physically. I don't like to buy Digital Media because as soon as the platform you buy it from decides they no longer want to licence the IP you loose access to what you purchased. Amazon and Sony do this. Funimation used to sell Digital copies of Shows for example. But as soon as Crunchyroll (Sony) bought Funimation everyone lost access to all the Digital Media they purchased.

You can use something like Tailscale. Set up a cheep mini PC at home or something you can run 24/7 install tailscale set it as a Exit node. Set up tailscale on your other devices. When using streaming services connect to your mini PC exit node and hey presto all the data is coming in and out of your home network/router. So when you want to use your own netflix while staying with Family/Friends You can.

As a Brit I've always preferred Animation even in to adulthood. My only regret is not getting into Anime sooner. As a whole Anime caters to a more grown up audiance without being episodic like alot of American Cartoons even Adult cartoons like family guy etc. I much prefer the Japanese art style over the American style. But American Animation wins when it comes to actual Animation I cant think of a single American Animation where id make a PowerPoint joke. Even so I find it hard to go back to American Animation. Give me a good fantasy Isekai over an American episodic show any day. Though i much prefer the seasonal fantasy Anime than the hyped up Shōnen Animes that are popular in the west.

What in the gaslight did i just read. Your not trying to say that if the original works translated says brother that the original works intent wasn't to say brother it was to say steve or something. No wonder companies are moving to replace you guys with AI. That has to be the most daft thing I've read in a while and we live in exciting times lol. You also don't get to dictate what the end user/customer deems has charm you don't have the right to invalidate that opinion nor gaslight that its wrong lol.

Ofc it is. It removes the personality and charm of the original content and its unnecessary alteration to the original content when the phrase has a translation. If Localizers don't understand that no wonder they don't understand why so many people are cheering for AI to take over translation. Especially when AI could offer multiple versions. E.g Honorifics vs non Honorifics etc Like the old fan translations. But sure its not the end of the world but its also just one example. So yes we will have to agree to disagree.

@SaGa_NeilB I disagree with the premise. Not at the least that your watching anime knowing it represents another culture and many don't want it to be westernised. But I just stated its not abnormal for British media. Its a very American problem.
