The bio pic skipped over everything that made MJ interesting and was basically a fantasy singalong that left out any controversy when that’s not at all the life he lived. Other folks are gonna try to fill in the blanks since his name is hot now.
And the movie left a lot blank…
Michael Jackson was acquitted on all 14 charges in 2005. The fact that Netflix is revisiting that trial right now, at the exact moment the biopic is reintroducing his music to a new generation, should make every thinking person pause.
@MrRobAnthony Angry? Of course. It’s a one-sided hit piece filled with claims that fall apart under even basic scrutiny. What’s ridiculous is that a platform like this chose to amplify people who have been openly anti-Michael Jackson and trying to destroy his legacy for decades
There were no cameras allowed in the court room and the case was 20+ years ago so a whole generation of people don’t remember the trial. Not every documentary and piece on MJ needs to be an ass kissing puff piece (like the movie was).
Nick Cannon called Democrats “the party of the KKK”
“People didn’t know that the Democrats were the party of the KKK. People didn’t know that the Republicans were the party that freed the slaves.”
Did Obama try to overturn an election with a violent parade or racists ? Did Obama terrorize cities in the name of immigration reform? Or take us into a needless war?
Help me understand America.
Why is it that liberal athletes are celebrated for speaking out politically, while conservative athletes are criticized for doing the same thing?
When athletes supported Obama, they were praised by the media, corporations, sports leagues, and Hollywood. Nobody called it “dangerous” or “polarizing.”
The same thing happened in 2016, when many athletes attended Hillary Clinton rallies, publicly supported her, and openly campaigned for her.
But when conservative athletes express their opinions, they are told to stay quiet, while liberal athletes are applauded for doing the exact same thing.
Americans can see the double standard.
They ( native activists groups) asked to be not be a mascot… as they don’t see it as honoring their culture.. and let’s not act like the team actually gave a damn about native Americans lol because they gave native groups their ass to kiss on several occasions.
The saddest part of the @Commanders is not just that they erased Native imagery from their identity. It is that every June, the NFL knows exactly how to celebrate people's lifestyle, but every November, Native American Heritage Month comes and goes without a single word from the team. No post. No tribute. They erased them from the brand, then ignored the month meant to honor them.
Whatever controversy he has he earned it.
He changed his appearance
He bought a monkey
He had them boys at his house
He has the phone marriage to Lisa Marie
He had drug seeking behavior
He threw blanket out the window in front of a large crowd. He earned that press he got:
Michael Jackson was proof that being loved by billions doesn't protect you from becoming one of the most controversial figures in history. The question is: if he wasn't Michael Jackson, would his life have been judged the same way?
We had a racist most of our existence
Were the last to integrate
Had a toxic owner for 25 years
Play in an awful Frankenstein stadium that we had to chop the seating down by a third and still couldn’t fill it.
A pride month post is the least of our issues.
He took teams that were in bad shape and made them winners and relevant.
Did that twice with Cleveland, made Miami hot 🥵 and then made a dormant Lakers team worthy of conversation. That helps his argument it shouldn’t hurt it.
🎯The fact that LeBron had to team hop to win will always be a blemish on him and his comparison to Jordan. It doesn't mean, he's not great. It means the fact that Jordan did it with one teams makes his accomplishments greater.
His sons basically made him as a Coach at Colorado and at Jackson State.
He should have gifted them boys a milli a piece and said here’s a nest egg 🥚 for yall to get started with.
These dudes work their ass off and it’s their first trip to the finals why can’t their be passionate and celebrate how the hell is this corny? This post is corny lol
