In April 2024 an elderly victim from the US was targeted by Indian call scammers posing as Coinbase support resulting in a large portion of their life savings stolen.
Pleased to share that I helped recover $275K which was recently seized and will be sent back to them.

During my research I found $5M+ stolen from other victims of this group which were laundered from Ethereum/Bitcoin to Tron via centralized exchanges before stablecoins were transferred to OTCs.
1/2 I uncovered 11 high confidence wallets tied to @MustStopMurad holding ~$24M in meme coins on Ethereum and Solana so the community can monitor his future activity.
Crypto Confidential is out today.
If you want to see how the crypto industry truly operates, and how the founders, insiders and fraudsters act when the doors are closed and cameras are down, this book will show you.
Former IMF Chief Economist @ojblanchard1 says: "A brilliant and fascinating description of crypto. It makes painfully clear that, on the buying side, there is no limit to human credulity, and the faith in magic returns. And, on the selling side, no limit to hubris, deception and scamming. Read the book, and cry."

It's f unbelievable how some people continue to trust #AtomicWallet after the 2023 so called "hack" where over $100 millions have been lost.
The users who lost their #crypto in June 2023 have no closure, nothing related to returning the lost funds or even a clear explanation on how it happened.

It seems that CoinMarketCap is indifferent to the activity in their community section. After multiple email exchanges regarding the scams promoted by TheCoinrise Media (https://t.co/d8HvGpwkuV) through community posts, they chose not to take any action.
I provided them with screenshots, detailed information about domain registrations, and a link to my article (https://t.co/RxIEssq8xR) outlining the arbitrage and exchange scams being promoted. Despite this, they still requested more "proof."
Isn't it within their capability to detect patterns of posts that promote fraudulent websites, which are used to scam people on Telegram and beyond?
Upon reviewing their article section, I noticed that they are now promoting another scam, this time under the guise of https://t.co/phXJQhLXRZ. https://t.co/phXJQhLXRZ claims to offer an "Unmatched Experience" as an exchange. However, the domain exhibits the same suspicious update patterns as previous scams, and the website design is nearly identical to that of https://t.co/a5uix30gWg, with only minor color changes.
I can't help but wonder why CoinMarketCap continues to allow such actions on their platform. Are they complicit?

As explained by @AntoineRSX, using https://t.co/BjjnsGCYUb can help you understand who are you really following.
Crypto X, formerly known as Twitter, has become heavily dominated by bot and fake account operators who farm content and manipulate niche sectors of the market. This environment has proven particularly lucrative for scammers, especially those promoting meme coins.
These bots are often employed by various scam networks, extracting significant liquidity from the market in 2024 by distributing meme coins and related services, primarily targeting newcomers who are first introduced to crypto through https://t.co/kLSg7RMYn1.
Today, https://t.co/kLSg7RMYn1 is the most effective platform for content farmers to build fake profiles, which are then used to promote and advertise fraudulent crypto projects and scam meme coins.
This trend has been rampant since the 2021 NFT boom, where so-called NFT creators leveraged "Twitter marketers" to distribute their low-quality NFTs to a gambling-prone audience.
It's baffling that https://t.co/kLSg7RMYn1 allows this behavior to persist. Don’t they have the resources to combat these bot-like patterns?
Bot activity can be easily spotted by searching https://t.co/sGInDihObw for keywords like #Solana or #memecoin. You'll find countless profiles posting identical, low-quality messages promoting scams.
Investing, no matter the amount, should always be approached with the utmost seriousness. Even small contributions of just $2 or $3 can collectively create a significant volume, especially in the context of scam projects. This seemingly insignificant participation can unintentionally give legitimacy to fraudulent schemes, encouraging others to invest larger sums and ultimately empowering scammers to create more fake projects.
In the digital age, particularly in the crypto space, the power of perception cannot be underestimated. Platforms like https://t.co/kLSg7RMYn1 (formerly Twitter) can easily be manipulated through trending keywords or specific topics, giving the false impression that a project is more popular or credible than it truly is. The same goes for trading volumes on platforms like Solana, where artificially inflated numbers can deceive investors into believing a project has genuine interest and support.
It’s essential to recognize that these manipulations are often orchestrated by sophisticated networks of scammers who rely on the psychology of the crowd. When people see others investing, they may feel a fear of missing out (FOMO) and follow suit without conducting proper due diligence. This herd mentality is exactly what scammers exploit to gain momentum for their fraudulent projects.
To safeguard your investments, no matter how small, always prioritize doing your own research (DYOR). Investigate the legitimacy of the projects you’re considering, scrutinize the backgrounds of those involved, and be wary of anything that seems too good to be true. Remember, every cent you invest contributes to the market dynamics, and if we want to foster a safer, more transparent crypto environment, that change must start with us.
By taking a disciplined approach to even the smallest investments, you not only protect your own assets but also help diminish the influence of scammers.

🛑 Avoid X accounts that promise to recover crypto in any circumstances.
Completely fake and it would lead to you losing more money.

We have a diversity of actors who use twitter to influence different parts of the society.
I wouldn't go as far as say that actual real X users are about 20-30% from the registered accounts.
We have bots and fake accounts that are tied up to political influence and propaganda.
Outfits that sell their services to different companies to advertise a product or some of them to actually destroy a competent brand.
And we have crypto twitter... in this universe my honest opinion is that we have a minimum of 60% bots and fake accounts. At a minimum.
This is why we have the huge number of scams.
So called "marketing agents" that push offers to promote a token started building the fake crypto twitter somewhere in 2020-2021 when the NFT frenzy began.
@FellowHump This type of scam is a few years old. It's called pig butchering where fake profiles on various social networks use female photos to lure victims into "investing" in fake crypto platforms.
"I’m a former CIA cyber-operations officer who studies bot traffic. Here’s why it’s plausible that more than 80% of Twitter’s accounts are actually fake—and Twitter is not alone."
This post is from 2022. Nothing has changed.
Changes made by Elon Musk after acquiring twitter are irrelevant when it comes to bots and spam accounts.
The most impacted topics are within crypto twitter.
Fake promoters, fake followers, fake profiles duping the 2-3% of the real people into believing they receive some valuable information by following Crypto Ninjas operated from Eastern Europe or from China.

😶🌫️What's with the question: "How is this possible?" ??
Market makers in the crypto world don't give 2 sh its about your borrowed money.
At the same time you've bought tokens on $sol made by Jenner, a know scammer ScamWillDoIt, and many more.
You put money into $tea and $coffee after being scammed on $beer and $water.
You bought everything Pauly vomited on his feed and waited to become millionaires.
You glorified Anscam for propping celebs to drain their followers and you along them.
Stop being sad and make better decisions when it comes to your money.
