I was not a good high school student — my mother died the summer before my 9th grade year, and I really struggled. I got suspended often for fighting, for yelling at teachers. Not a lot of people in the building believed in me.

@mrccheney Today I had a student come up to me and apologize for his and his peer’s actions in a class I OT’ d for last year. It’s amazing how much they will remember you, even if you don’t think you did a great job! What matters most is they knew you were there for them.
